DAVE & ED'S CANFIELD SWAP MEET
Even the Weather Couldn’t Hold Back Enthusiasts
Over 3,000 vendors and 38,000 spectators attended the Dave & Ed’s Canfield Swap Meet on Apr. 27-29 in Canfield, OH.
If you are looking for parts, the Canfield Swap Meet is the place for you.
Car enthusiasts poured in from all over Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, and even as far north as Canada!
All weekend long, car hunters sniffed out those special parts they needed to complete their winter projects, just in time for the upcoming summer cruises and shows.
Even the weather couldn’t hold off the 38,000 that showed up to the swap meet.
There was also around 700 cars for sale in the car corral. There were several great buys as many new projects were created as a result.
Some of the top vendors at the swap meet included Danny’s Rod Shop, who handles street rod parts and provides some of the best customer service available. Danny is one of the most friendly and knowledgeable enthusiasts in the hobby and has been offering to take care of all of your street rod needs for over ten years.
Danny has been building hot rods for most of his life. He and his crew go to all of the major street rod events, and they carry a large selection of inventory everywhere they go. So, if you are out and about, look for the black trailer with checkered flags! They are really great people to work with and I look forward to seeing them out on the road again. See Danny’s ad in this issue on page 62. Check out their catalog online today at www.DannysRodShop.net or call 800-335-1932.
I also ran into our good friends from Tom Sondles Class Chevy Parts. Tom Sondles offers Chevy parts from 1955-57 and is a valuable resource to all collectors of Chevrolets. See their ad on page 30 in this issue. Visit Tom Sondles Classic Parts website at www.SondlesClassicParts.com or call for a catalog at 330-838-1957.
Our good friends, Rod and Denise Helton, from Hot Rod’s Classic Truck Parts was also at the show. Rod informed me that they had much success at the swap meet with their new trailer. They hit up most of the big shows throughout the year, so if you see the big yellow sign that says “Hot Rod’s Classic Truck Parts,” stop by and say hello. You can visit them online at www.HotRodsTrucks.com or call 800-236-0046 for a catalog today!
The car show held on Sunday brought in close to 300 registered cars. Some of the most beautiful classics and street rods rolled into Canfield to show off their prized-wheels.
All in all, despite the crummy weather, old car hobbyists were excited to get out for the first meet of the year. As a result, this was a very successful show.
