With CARROLL SHELBY RAISED OVER $170,000
FOR CHARITY

The remarkable driver, team manager, manufacturer, consultant and visionary Carroll Shelby joined in the excitement at the Men’s Luxury Toy Expo & Auction Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale Arizona to raise money for the Carroll Shelby Children’s Foundation, and what a draw it was. Fans and enthusiasts from all around the country came to meet the man who shaped an entire generation within the automotive industry.
Items were up for bid to support the Carroll Shelby Children’s Foundation which was established to provide financial assistance to children in need of organ and tissue transplants and to aid with the treatment of acute cardiac disorders. Hosted by Carroll Shelby himself, there were many items that crossed the two stages during the auction that generated funds to support this good cause including:
• Tickets to the private Carroll Shelby luncheon, where a special few fans got the opportunity to get up close and personal with the automotive legend and converse about tricks of the trade, stories from the past and secrets on upcoming new projects he is working on.
• Carroll Shelby’s personal EXP GT500 C.C.S. escalated the excitement level during the bidding. After the gavel fell and the announcements were made that all the proceeds were going to support the Carroll Shelby Children’s Foundation, fans witnessed a rare photo oppotunity while Carroll Shelby autographed his former vehicle.
• Artist J D’Antonio generously donated one of his original prints “Heart of Gold”, which was signed prior to it crossing the block and generated thousands towards the charitable cause.
Hundreds received the chance to meet Mr. Shelby during his autograph signing at the end of his visit and expressed their admiration while taking advantage of the photo opportunity provided.
