3RD ANNUAL YEAR ONE MYRTLE BEACH FALL CRUISE 2007

3RD ANNUAL YEAR ONE MYRTLE BEACH FALL CRUISE 2007

The Myrtle Beach Car Club presented the third Annual Year One Myrtle Beach Fall Cruise at Colonial Mall on highway 17N October 18-20.

The show was open to vehicles of all makes and model years drew some 671 cars and trucks from all over the east coast.

Show goers were treated to spectacular weather and the car owners got goodie bags compliments of the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce.

The show featured a cruise to “Broadway at the Beach” and a walking scavenger hunt on Thursday, a cruise in a Burkey's Grill on Friday and a “Poker Walk” inside Colonial Mall on Saturday.

Some major prizes were handed out on Saturday to some very lucky show entrants including Ralph Brewer, of Winston-Salem, NC, who qualified to be one of 12 finalists to win the 2008 Right Coast Association give away hot rod, a 1939 Ford valued at over $60,000, to be given away at the 2008 DuPont Hot Hues Syracuse Nationals next July 18-20.

And…one lucky participant was the selected at random as the winner of a complete body package courtesy of Wild Rod Factory valued at $11,000! A total of nearly $30,000 in door prizes was given away during the show.

More than $4,000 of the proceeds from the show was donated by the Myrtle Beach Car Club and the Right Coast Association to “Caring In Our Lifetime” a support group for patients and families facing cancer. An auction of NASCAR memorabilia and other collectables on Saturday raised even more for the cause.

Combined with last year's donation, the total raised for the cause is nearly $10,000.

In addition to the Myrtle Beach Car Club and Year One,

the Year One Myrtle Beach Fall Cruise was presented by other sponsors including the Right Coast Association , Wild Rod Factory, Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, Advance Auto Parts, the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, WEZV-FM Easy 105.9 and WEYZ-FM Easy 94.5 radio.
