Q: Greg, what about the Kaiser Manhattan (from the early 1950s)? My mom had one and it was beautiful. I'm retired and living in Florida and enjoy your old car columns. Carl L., New Port Ritchey.

A: I loved the Kaiser automobiles, and once said had it not been for the economic power of the big three (Ford, GM and Chrysler), Kaiser was probably the best of the rest that went out of business in car manufacturing.
