Chrysler Mark Cross Convertible

Chrysler Mark Cross Convertible by Greg Zyla

Q: Greg, I have a 1986 Chrysler Mark Cross Limited Edition convertible in mint condition. It has a new top, new paint, leather interior and it runs very well. What is the price range on this vehicle and where is the best place to sell as well as market it? I appreciate your response. Thanks, Carl G., Coffeyville, Kansas

A: Carl, your Mark Cross convertible is built on the LeBaron front drive platform, which was an extension of the original "K-Car" line that Chrysler introduced in Dodge Aries and Plymouth Reliant lines back in 1981. Because the K-Car never really developed as a collector car, your Mark Cross is worth approximately $1,800 to $3,000 in its current excellent original and re-painted condition. As for marketing, I'd suggest you go through publications like Hemmings Motor News or Auto Round-Up with a classified ad and hope to lure a true Chrysler collector who may be looking to fill his garage with a car like yours, albeit one that does not command top dollar. Good luck and thanks for your inquiry.
