East Coast Indoor Nationals 20th Anniversary
East Coast Indoor Nationals 20th Anniversary by Dave Kelly
How many all-American Invitational indoor car and motorcycle shows are left? Not many and only one that I know of on the East Coast. Celebrating its 20 th anniversary, the East Coast Indoor Nationals was the best
I have ever seen and I have been to all of them. Even a little inclement weather, could not keep the thousands of enthusiasts away.
The quality of the vehicles was second to none. The judges had a real tough time deciding which of these great cars, trucks and motorcycles would walk away with some of the $6,500 in prize money. In addition to the money there are 85 high quality awards to be given away.
There were four Riddler contenders and a huge selection of rods, customs, antiques, muscle cars and custom motorcycles, the finest on the East Coast. The BEST of SHOW award and $1,000 went to the 1935 Ford Street Rod owned by Harold & Rhea Schrader. Add a very large vendor area, free parking, good food and the best DJ in the area, Mac Thomas, and you have a great show.
The pictures will tell the rest of the story.
