Q: Thanks for the information on the GTO in your recent Collector Car Corner. I’ve read Jim Wangers’ “Glory Days” and it really is a fine book on the state of Detroit and high performance back “in the days.” Gary P., Pennsylvania.

A: Thanks Gary. Jim Wangers is doing well, and I can still see him speed shifting the Royal Pontiac 421 full size Pontiacs in 1962 and 1963 out of Ace Wilson’s Royal Oak Michigan Pontiac dealership.
