Nice 1977 Silverado
Nice 1977 Silverado by Greg Zyla
Q: Hi Greg. I very much enjoy reading your column here in Kelowna, B.C. (Canada). Would you be kind enough to tell me what my 1977 Chevy Silverado 1/2 ton pickup is worth? I've owned this vehicle for 18 years and it's never been on rough roads, never winter driven as I store it for 6-months every year and it has never been to a body shop. It is in mint condition with only 68,000 miles. It has the 350-8, p.s., p.b., air, duel-fuel tanks, (gas and propane), no rust and lots more good stuff. I would like to sell this truck, so what do you feel it is worth?
Jack F., British Columbia, Canada.
A: Jack, good news. Your truck would sell for a low of $4,500 to a high of $9,000 while a fully restored show Silverado would probably do $12,000 or so. From the way you describe your truck, and because it has all those options and add ons, (couldn't list all of them) I'd price your Silverado Fleetside pickup at $8,000 and start from there.
