Win This 1969 Dodge Coronet

Win This 1969 Dodge Coronet by Greg Zyla

Every now and then, a promotion comes across my desk that is way too good to put in the "circular file." So, have you ever dreamed of owning an original, all-American muscle car? Now's your chance thanks to the folks at Actron and Sunpro and their "Muscle Car Sweepstakes."

winthis1969dodgecoronetWith no purchase necessary, I've learned that one lucky winner will drive away in a beautifully restored 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T armed with a 440 Magnum V8 - which is a 375 horsepower MOPAR legend! I owned a 1967 GTX 440-375 back in 1968, so I know personally this car will be a great one to drive.

"Sunpro gauges are iconic of the 1960s and 1970s muscle car era," explained Joe Young, product manager, Sunpro. "If you were a racer or into cars at all, chances are there was a Sun Super Tach perched on your dashboard." (Note: Yep, Joe is correct).

The Actron and Sunpro "Muscle Car Sweepstakes" started June 1 and concludes Nov. 30, 2008. To be eligible, contestants must complete an official entry form available at retail locations where Actron and Sunpro products are sold, at select shows and events, or online at www.musclecarsweepstakes.com.

Retail locations include Advance Auto Parts, AutoZone, Pep Boys and Sears. The show events are: Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals, July 11-13, Carlisle, Pa.; MOPAR Nationals; August 8-10, Columbus, Ohio; Goodguys Blue Suede Cruise, September 5-7, Norwalk, Ohio; Goodguys East Coast Nationals, September 12-14; Rhinebeck, N.Y., Goodguys Southeastern Nationals, October 24-26; Charlotte, N.C.; and finally, the 2008 SEMA Show; November 4-7; Las Vegas.

For official rules - as well as details of the grand prize 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T - visit www.musclecarsweepstakes.com. Readers can visit Sunpro at www.sunpro.com online to check out its line of tachs and gauges and Actron's diagnostic equipment at www.actron.com.

The way I look at it, someone is going to win this great looking '69 R/T 440, (see the photo) and it could one of my readers, which would truly make my day!

Additionally, I just "read" a friend's Pontiac Grand Prix with my Actron OBDII hand held diagnostic plug in reader and told him what his "service engine light" code was, and my 72 Challenger has a Sunpro tach in it!
Coincidence? I don't think so. These companies make good products that are affordable, and they are thanking the people who love cars.

That's us, so enter today!
