My First Convertible
The year was 1956, just out of high school and I bought my first convertible. A 1950 Ford. I had the world by the tail with a down hill pull. Every night I would head downtown and “scoop the loop”. Now 50 years has passed, the old Ford Convertible has bit the dust. The good news is now I have two 1950 Ford convertibles to replace it. The only problem I have is which one do I drive today! Most people know Ford did not make a 1950 Ford Crestliner Convertible, however, they did make all the parts and in 1950 you could have the Dealer make one. Well it is not 1950 and it took me a lot of years to find all the parts but I finally did and put one together.
